When describing the Curious Mystery it’s best to start with the basics: they are a rock and roll band based out of Seattle, Washington whose sound oozes a smoky haze when banged against a hard surface. As described in the LA Weekly: "They like to jam, basically, but not in a navel-gazing way; more like in a Television/Tom Verlaine/ Richard Lloyd kind of way."

Shana Cleveland, Nicolas "Gonzo" Gonzalez, Johnny Goss, and Marian Li Pino, have a firm grasp on the beating and bending of store bought instruments, but they take it further. They've created instruments of their own with which to forge new paths through cosmic ballads, dark surf shakers, and gonzo garage.

The Curious Mystery have released two full-length albums on K, and are finishing up a couple of exciting 7” albums, which will come out this spring of 2012. In March of 2012 they will be hitting the road to woo you with their voodoo music. Be aware.
