![]() ![]() Formed in September of 2009 following the break up of Cheeky and Used Kids, Big Eyes holed up in their Brooklyn, NY practice studio where they self-recorded their demo and quickly hit the road across the US on a three week tour. In the two years since their formation, Big Eyes have played several more tours, gone through a few member changes, and celebrated the release of a 7" single and are now ready to debut their first LP, Hard Life, out August 23rd on Don Giovanni Records. Leaving behind their long-time homes in Brooklyn and New Brunswick, NJ for a fresh start on the West Coast, the trio will soon be living in Seattle and working on new material in between tours. Fueled by their passion for the road and the boundless energy of their live shows, expect to see Big Eyes on tour more than ever through the end of 2011 and well into 2012. Big Eyes is led by Kate Eldridge along with C.J. Frederick on drums, and Mark Bronzino rounding out the lineup on bass. The band's sound is three piece, loud, guitar rock that's heavy on punk attitude. Heavily influenced by The Muffs and the Ramones, Eldridge's position of frontwoman in Big Eyes is one full of attitude, snarl and just enough tongue-in-cheek love of a pop hook to keep crowds singing along.
