The Paul Green School of Rock All-Stars are a handpicked group comprised of the school's most virtuous students from the entire nation's programs.

Founded in Philadelphia in 1998 and widely popularized by the 2005 Don Argott documentary Rock School, The Paul Green School of Rock is a performance-based, interactive music school that helps students ages 7-18 realize their potential as artists. The school puts students on stage in front of as many people as possible, and has been helping to foster new generations of musicians for over a decade. The school's students play over 500 concerts to more than 200,000 people per year at legendary venues like CBGB's, The Trocadero, Stubb's, The Knitting Factory, BB King's in Times Square, and at festivals like Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. The school's students have opened for national acts coast to coast and have performed live on television and radio countless times (including on the CBS Evening News), resulting in the best education in the execution and performance of rock music available: the act of learning by doing.

Every once in a while, a student shows such an amazing proficiency and work ethic that he/she auditions for Paul Green himself to be in the school's Paul Green School of Rock All-Stars band—and makes it. The dedicated, talented 12 to 18 year-olds often tour, record and play with famous musicians from rock's past and present, such as Sting (The Police), The Butthole Surfers, Slash (Guns n' Roses), Jon Anderson (Yes), Les Paul, Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction), Peter Frampton, Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Alice Cooper, Adrian Belew (King Crimson, Bowie, Talking Heads), Stewart Copeland, Billy Idol, Steve Turner (Mudhoney), Marky Ramone (The Ramones), Dave Mustane (Megadeth), Jeff "Skunk" Baxter (Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers), Ann and Nancy Wilson (Heart), Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie), Beth Ditto (The Gossip), and others. The All-Stars consist of five groups that tour nationally during the summer and are selected yearly.
