"Sure, it's loud guitars and banging drums, but that's all window-dressing for the fantastic songs of Franklin Morris, Kyle Robarge, and David T. Jones."--Music For Robots

"This six-song EP is a kick ass one."--PopMatters

"Sunny power pop crossed with something trickier and edgier. I hesitate, however, to use the "punk pop" (or is it "pop punk"?) label, because to me that implies something (sorry to say) dumber and less nuanced that this little two-minute gem. Not that many punk pop bands write in 3/4 time, to begin with. This is no waltz, however--these guys have figured out how to make three-beated measures sound assertive and symmetrical."-Fingertips

"I want to drink beer with this band, and I want to be as loud and reckless as they are when I do it. I want to be sloppy drunk while we parade around town and spit in the face of the whole damn thing. It doesn't need to be the weekend. It could be Tuesday. It could be noon. That way we'd be more out of place and cause more of a disturbance. Something about the Murdocks' album Roar! makes me feel this way. It's a blaze of indie-rock gone pop-punk, full of simple power chords and nasally hooks, plenty of vocal lines involving meaningless sounds like "hey," and "la." This is pop-punk that kids who grew out of pop-punk long ago can still get excited for. Also, the album cover is pink and has a yellow Tyrannosaurus Rex on it. Awesome." --Peer Validated

"The Murdocks rock. This is all that has to be said."- Daily Helmsman

"These guys have so perfected the art of catchy tunes that it's still a wonder more people do not appreciate them."--The Accent
